Don Vass
Mr. Vass has been involved in the mining industry for over 35 years. He started his mining career doing general inside labor with Pittston Coal Group before moving up to be a machine operator and finally a foreman. He spent over 12 years working in an underground coal mine before moving into loss control. He now has over 20 years in loss control, with 18 years as an employee of American Mining Insurance Company.

Mr. Vass is a Loss Control Representative covering onsite inspections in Southern West Virginia, Tennessee and Alabama. He has been with American Mining Insurance Company for more than 10 years. His work experience includes more than 10 years experience working directly in coal mines, both as a foreman, performing safety inspections and providing job safety training to employees.
